Q: Do I need to bring my own materials?

A: Yes, you need to supply your own materials. We do have a modest supply of
3D printing filament for small projects at Hacker Lab powered by Sierra
College in Rocklin.

Q: What if I already know how to use a tool?

A: A makerspace facilitator at Hacker Lab can meet with you to verify your
knowledge and awareness of safety requirements at the Rocklin location. Some
Sierra College courses can also qualify a student for access to a tool.

Q: Do I have to work on school projects only?

A: You have the freedom to work on any personal and school projects at the
makerspace.

Q: Where is the sewing lab at NCC?

A: The Textile Lab at NCC is in Building N6, room 205. There are also classes offered for
beginning sewing.

Q: Is there internet at Hacker Lab powered by Sierra College on Granite Dr.?

A: Yes, and it is fast!

Q: I have a product/business idea. Is this place for me?

A: At the makerspaces, you can get access to tools, mentors & team members
to develop prototypes and business ideas. There are also programs such as
Startup Hustle sponsored by Hacker Lab and the Sierra College Startup Pitch
Mentor Round meetup at the Rocklin campus.
